Our beautiful annex property offers the comfort and cozy experience that Casa del Mundo is famous for, combined with the convenience of being in Panajachel (the gateway to Lake Atitlan).
Each of our apartments is beautifully decorated and equipped with all of the comforts you could want for a great stay on the lake: comfortable orthopedic mattresses, ample bathrooms with high pressure hot water 24/7, high speed WIFI (10MBPS), satellite television (with channels in English and Spanish), comfortable rest and work areas, etc.
This is an ideal place to stay before or after your visit to Casa del Mundo (our main property, in Jaibalito). The annex is a convenient 5 minute walk to the Tzanjuyu dock, where you can catch a boat to or arrive from Casa del Mundo. We can arrange for a shuttle to pick you up or drop you off at the door of the property.
Panajachel offers a wide variety of culinary options from around the world. Options include traditional Guatemalan restaurants and food stands, coffee shops, and international restaurants (Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Argentinian, etc.).
There are a wide variety of activities to choose from, including shopping, studying Spanish, exploring arts and crafts, nightlife, paragliding, ziplining, hiking, bike riding, etc. Pana is also an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the lake. From the Tzanjuyu dock (a 5 minute walk from the property), you can take a public boat and reach any of the villages along the lake within about an hour or less.
Please note that your bill at the annex can only be paid in cash (Quetzales or Dollars). There are ATMs a short walk from the property where you can withdraw money with most credit cards.
